¢Congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV) or clubfoot is a common foot abnormality found in males generally present at birth. In babies with clubfoot the tissues connecting the muscles to the bones are shorter than usual causing their feet to be twisted. The ankle can be twisted at a sharp angle. My Care’s specially designed CTEV Shoes made of Genuine leather with modifications such as Thomas Heel(90 shore rubber hardness which is very stiff) Soft leather lining hold the feet in a corrected position & maintain this position as the foot develops. Sturdy medial & lateral extended heel box provide extra support.

Avoid raised heels to ensure proper weight distribution, promote proper posture, and prevent toe cramping and deformity.

The Boston Brace is a plastic body jacket used in the treatment of adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis. The Boston brace, also referred to as a Thoraco-Lumbo-Sacral Orthosis (TLSO) brace, wraps under the arms and around the rib cage, lower back, and hips in order to cast the spine into a straighter position.
Bracing treatment is typically prescribed for patients when the spine’s curvature is between 25 and 40 degrees, and it has shown to be an effective means in stopping the progression of scoliotic curves.

The Boston Brace is most effective for curves in the middle and lower back. The brace is typically worn full-time (18 to 23 hours per day) to minimize the risk of curve progression.

A KAFO is a long-leg orthosis that spans the knee, the ankle, and the foot in an effort to stabilize the joints and assist the muscles of the leg. While there are several common indications for such an Orthosis, muscle weakness and paralysis of the leg are the ones most frequently identified. The most common causes of muscle weakness include:• Poliomyelitis• Muscular Dystrophy• Multiple Sclerosis• spinal cord injuryKnee-ankle-foot orthotics (KAFO) consist of an AFO with metal uprights, a mechanical knee joint, and 2 thigh bands. KAFO can be used in quadriceps paralysis or weakness to maintain knee stability and control flexible genu valgum or varum. KAFO also is used to limit the weight bearing of the thigh, leg, and foot with quadrilateral or ischial containment brim. A KAFO is more difficult to don and doff than an AFO, so it is not recommended for patients who have moderate-to-severe cognitive dysfunction.Each KAFO is custom-made to the specific requirements of the individual. There are numerous design options available that make usage of the Orthosis both functional and comfortable. A detailed examination and assessment of the patient allows us to suggest the best available component combination.
